Overview

BuildNorm Estimator is a tool for preparing construction estimates and bills of quantities.

The software calculates:

• Labor input in man-hours
• Equipment operating time
• Estimated execution cost

All calculations are organized by construction sections.

Basic Workflow

• Create a new estimate.
• Open the required section.
• Add work items.
• Edit quantities, norms and coefficients.
• Save the estimate.
• Export to Excel if needed.

Working with Sections

• First click expands the section card.
• Second click opens the section editor.

Each section contains:

• Work items
• Calculated section totals

Working with Line Items

Each line item includes:

• Labor norm
• Equipment norm
• Coefficients
• Quantity

All values are calculated automatically.

Section Variants

Some sections include alternative construction options.

The selected variant affects:

• The list of available work items
• The applied norms

Saving

Estimates are saved as files with the extension:

.kss

It is recommended to:

• Save regularly
• Keep backup copies of completed estimates

Excel Export

• Only filled sections are exported.
• The export format follows a standard BOQ structure.

Important

• All calculations must be reviewed and verified by a qualified professional.
• The software does not replace engineering judgment or professional responsibility.

Recovery

In case of interruption:

• The program may offer data recovery.
• Unsaved data is stored temporarily.

License & Disclaimer

BuildNorm Estimator is provided as a locally installed software product intended for use in a private server environment.

License Scope

The software is licensed to a single legal entity. Within one server installation, the number of users is not limited, provided all users belong to the same organization.

Usage Restrictions

• Distribution of the software or its parts is not permitted.
• Providing access to third parties outside the organization is not permitted.
• Resale or rental of the software is prohibited.
• Use of the software as a service for external clients is prohibited.
• Creating derivative products based on the software is not permitted.

Intellectual Property

All rights to the software remain the property of the developer. This license grants the right to use the software, not ownership.

Disclaimer

The software is provided “AS IS”, without any warranties of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose.

The developer is not responsible for:

• Errors in calculations or estimates.
• Incorrect use of the software.
• Project decisions based on the generated data.
• Financial losses or construction outcomes.

The user is fully responsible for verifying all input data, rates, quantities, norms and final results before applying them in practice.

Support and Updates

The license does not include mandatory support or updates. These may be provided separately under an additional agreement.

Governing Law

This license agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria.
